The Odd/ Even Effect in Pentagonal Few-Layer PdSe2
ORAL
Abstract
The intrinsic electronic properties of few-layer PdSe2 are expected to vary based on whether the number of layers is even or odd. In particular, odd-numbered layers of PdSe2 exhibit inversion symmetry, which is broken in even-numbered layers. However, the impact of this symmetry breaking on electrical transport measurements remains unexplored. In this work, based on our record-mobility PdSe2 samples, we report distinct quantum transport behaviors between odd- and even-numbered layers, revealing new insights into the role of symmetry in these systems.
