Flipping Classes While Flipping Out
ORAL
Abstract
In this presentation, we explore the extension of the flipped-classroom model to online instruction in a hybrid synchronous/asynchronous format. This format, developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, allows for a high degree of flexibility for schedules while still allowing for opportunities for group work. Outcomes and responses to both technological and learning-style challenges will be discussed. (This presentation is a sequel to Flipping a Class Without Flipping Out, given at the Spring 2016 Meeting of the Michigan Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers.)
