Unveiling Hadron Production: Impact on Neutrino's Oscillation Experiments
ORAL
Abstract
This work examines hadron production data from different experiments, such as NA61/SHINE, NA49, HARP, and Barton, comparing results and identifying tensions between them. The focus is on understanding hadron production mechanisms and their implications for neutrino accelerator-based experiments. Insights gained from this comparative analysis are pivotal for precise neutrino flux predictions for neutrino's oscillation measurements with robust uncertainty control, enhancing the accuracy of high resolution neutrino experiments to advance our comprehension of fundamental physical questions such as the matter/antimatter asymmetry or the existence of new particles not predicted within the Standard Model.
