Laws of Electrodynamics
ORAL
Abstract
Most textbooks convey the idea that the law of electrodynamics is as well founded as Coulomb’s law. The law of Biot Savart is typically taught in introductory physics classes. I will present four laws that are significantly different from the Biot Savart law and show the cases where they all agree and why. It turns out that the currently accepted law leads to a dead end while one of the newer laws gives the opportunity for unifying electromagnetism and gravity, something that has eluded the physics community for over a century.
