State of geophysics research in Cameroon and main outputs

Geophysical research in Cameroon has produced significant findings, especially in the areas of seismology, geothermal energy, mineral and petroleum exploration, and natural hazard analysis. The goal of this presentation is to present the different fields of research in geophysics in Cameroon as well as some main scientific outputs including the search for the understanding of tectonic movements and their seismic risks, investigation on geothermal energy, mineral resources prospecting, mapping of aquifers evaluating their capacity and the impact of climate change, evaluation of natural hazards.

This research is open to international cooperation. Partnerships with worldwide entities and universities help strengthen local geophysical expertise and encourage research within the nation.
