Multi-scale glass transition of bulk macromolecules
ORAL
Abstract
Bulk macromolecules perform a multi-scale frozen transition from the scale of macromolecules to the scale of local segments, with unique highly elastic states as well as nonlinear viscoelasticity in this transition temperature region. By means of Monte Carlo simulations of stress relaxation in bulk amorphous polymers , we studied the transition mechanism from linear to nonlinear viscoelasticity. The results bring new insights into the molecular nature of glass transition.
