Room Temperature Ambient Pressure Superconductor, CES-2023: Manufacturing and Characterization
ORAL
Abstract
Cutting Edge Superconductors discovered a room temperature ambient pressure superconductor, named CES-2023, employing LK-99 as a precursor material in September 2023. CES-2023 shows diamagnetism, levitation, and quantum locking, confirming its superconductivity, according to the Meissner effect. Its impure bulk sample with less than 5% superconducting part, shows the transition temperature 104 C = 377K, from resistance measurement and the breakdown of quantum locking. The impure bulk sample also shows the weak superconducting diamagnetism, in addition to the paramagnetic matrix contribution. Recent SEM image shows the layered structure, implying 2-dimensional superconductivity, like high Tc cuprate superconductors. It seems to form an infinite layer. We will discuss its structure and chemical formula based on TEM and EDS results.
