Low-temperature normal-state transport and large thermoelectric power factor in the quasi-1D superconductor Nb3S4

ORAL

Abstract

We report low-temperature (4 K ≤ T ≤ 300 K) transport measurements (resistivity, thermopower, thermal conductivity) on single crystals of the quasi-one-dimensional metal Nb3S4 along its most conducting axis. A superconductora near 4K, its transport properties have not been widely investigated.b We compare our measurements to prior work and take note of a thermoelectric power factor in the range 35-60 K that is among the largest for any material in this temperature range, ≈125 μW/cm2.
