Collective motion of microswimmers in porous media

Abstract
We present a model of microswimmers in complex fluids such as the porous media ones approximated by the Brinkman representation. Computer simulations of such microswimmers in periodic domains or confinemed geometries will be presented. The individual swimmer dynamics above surfaces, as well as collective dynamics, will be analyzed in terms of swimmer shape and media porosity. Connections with existing experiments will be highlighted and new experimental setups will be proposed to test the predictions of the simulations.
