Third-order carrier transport under a uniform electric field

ORAL

Abstract

Non-linear transport phenomena have been the focus of condensed-matter research in recent years. Especially, second-order effects, such as shift current and nonlinear Hall effect, have been intensively studied in both theory and experiment [1][2]; however, higher-than-second-order transport phenomena have not been studied as much. In this presentation, we will discuss third-order carrier transport due to a uniform electric field. Our theory can be readily implemented in first-principles computation codes.
