Resonant x-ray studies of altermagnetic α-MnTe thin films
ORAL
Abstract
The magnetic and electronic structure of altermagnetic α-MnTe exhibits large spin-splitting making it promising for spintronic applications [1,2]. However, direct information about the chiral nature of the magnetic excitations is lacking. We present momentum and polarization-resolved resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) measurements on α-MnTe thin films [3] focusing on the low energy excitations. Our results provide insights into the magnetic excitation spectrum of altermagnetic α-MnTe.
