Studies of p-wave superconductors and Josephson junctions in ring geometries
ORAL
Abstract
We present an analysis of px + ipy superconductors in radially symmetric situations. We consider the associated spin-polarized BdG Hamiltonian in ring and disc-shaped geometries. We obtain the eigenstate profiles in these geometries and identify the low-lying boundary modes. We combine these geometries to characterize Josephson junction physics in a Corbino setting under the presence of a finite magnetic field. We pinpoint bound states formed within such junctions, assess their possible Majorana character, and analyze their effects on transport properties.
