Visualization of the Anomalous Dynamics of Spin Ice

POSTER

Abstract

Spin ice materials display emergent magnetic monopoles at low temperatures, leading to surprisingly long equilibration times that can extend to days, despite rapid underlying microscopic processes. This phenomenon arises from the constrained dynamics of these monopoles.

In this work, we present innovative visualizations from kinetic Monte Carlo simulations that reveal the multi-modal distribution of the power noise spectrum at low temperatures within the non-equilibrium regime. Additionally, we discuss the broader applicability of these visualization techniques, particularly in the context of neural network analysis, where they can enhance our understanding of complex systems.
