First-principles Approach to Investigating Chiral Helimagnetism
POSTER
Abstract
Chiral helimagnets have garnered significant research interest due to their potential in spintronics. However, current research for chiral helimagnetism primarily relies on experimental approaches, while theoretical calcualation remains a challenge. In this work, we investigated the chiral helimagnetism in Cr-intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDs), Cr1/3MX2 (where M=Nb, Ta; X=S, Se) via first principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT). Our results show excellent agreement with existing experimental measurements. This work offers a framework for future helimagnetism computational studies that could accelerate exploration of helimagnetic systems.
