Hardware-efficient single-shot error mitigation via generlized Pauli checks
ORAL
Abstract
We present new theory and experimental results for single-shot error mitigation of Clifford-dominated circuits. The protocol works by injecting Pauli checks into the space-time volume of the payload. It can be used for arbitrary connectivities in the payload and checks, although the performance is improved with higher connectivity. The key innovation lies in finding valid Pauli checks that catch the most errors in the payload with the least amount of newly introduced errors.
