Metallic charge transfer ferromagnetism
ORAL
Abstract
We investigate the itinerant ferromagnetism in the honeycomb lattice Hubbard model with a charge transfer gap. Ferromagnetism is favoured to the kinetic energy of doped charge carriers at sublattice sites with higher onsite energy. This charge transfer-mediated mechanism for ferromagnetism can be generalized to other bipartite lattices. We further discuss the relevance to the magnetic phase diagrams of twisted MoTe2 under tunable gating fields.
