Superconducting Qubit Readout with a Pulse Pumped Floquet-mode Josephson Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifier
ORAL
Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate fast single-shot readout of transmon and fluxonium superconducting qubits using a pulse pumped Floquet-mode Josephson Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifier (JTWPA), observing a sub 10 ns rise time for the amplified readout signal. We explore this scheme as a strategy to reduce heating and measurement induced dephasing while providing high full system quantum efficiency for superconducting qubit measurements. We test isolator-free qubit measurements and consider the tradeoffs for current and future readout architectures.
