Understanding What Large Language Models Are Good For

ORAL

Abstract

This talk demonstrates the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) with Mathematica and Wolfram Language for data science applications. See how quantum mechanics and other physics problem-solving examples can be enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Participants will be introduced to core LLM principles and how they can be used in automating research tasks including data analysis, model generation, and symbolic computation. Practical examples also include enhancing course material and non-trivial problem solving. The session is designed for physicists looking to incorporate AI tools into their research and teaching. No previous Mathematica knowledge is required.
