Abstract

We developed a nuclear matter equation of state that covers finite densities, temperatures and arbitrary iso-spin. It is thus suited to study matter in the entire phase diagram as needed to account consistently for astrophysical and collider data. In the standard approach, Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) models possess vector repulsion which is not contributing at zero baryon density. Contrary, the Hadron Resonance Model (HRM) in the same domain suggests the importance of repulsion incorporated as a form of excluded volume for Hadrons. We proceed by deriving a model inspired by the RMF that takes into account both, standard RMF vector repulsion and excluded volume related effects from HRG. The approach is thermodynamically consistent, allowing us to reliably probe the entire phase diagram.
