Preparation of an Electromagnetic Calorimeter for JLab Hall A Form Factor measurements with Super BigBite

Our group contributed to various stages of the preparation and assembly of a new electromagnetic calorimeter for JLab Hall A. It is currently being installed and tested in the Hall and will be in use during the upcoming proton electric form factor measurements starting to take data in January 2025. We will present the motivations and the project, as well as the contribution from our group, involving a graduate student as well as a postdoc and several undergraduates. We will also discuss the anticipated measurements and impacts on knowledge of the proton structure.
