Observation of field-split crystal electric field levels in CsErSe2
ORAL
Abstract
The rare-earth delafossite family has generated significant recent interests because of innately
frustrated triangular lattices and rich crystal electic field (CEF) physics. We present the compre-
hensive magnetic field dependent CEF spectrum using optical spectroscopy and magnetic prop-
erties of CsErSe2. We will discuss a unique method of determining the CEF Hamiltonian using
these results and its implications
