Topological Hall effect and diverse field-induced magnetic phases in LuMn6Sn6

ORAL

Abstract

RMn₆Sn₆ (R= rare-earth elements) kagome metals are characterized by a wide range of field-induced complex magnetic textures, leading to distinct topological transport phenomena, such as topological Hall and Nernst effects [1,2]. In this study, we present the intricate magnetic phase diagram for LuMn₆Sn₆, constructed from magnetization and magnetotransport measurements up to high magnetic fields and a wide range of temperatures. This (H,T) phase-diagram results from the competition between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions between the Mn kagome layers. We will also discuss neutron diffraction data for some of the observed magnetic phases, along with Hall effect measurements, which reveal a notable and robust topological Hall component, that extends across a wide range of fields exceeding 20 T.
