Greene Award: Unveiling Superconductivity in Magic-Angle Twisted Graphene

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

In this talk, I will provide an overview of the discovery of correlated and superconducting phenomena in the magic-angle twisted graphene family and highlight our recent work on simultaneous transport and tunneling spectroscopy measurements. We have designed a versatile experimental platform based on van der Waals heterostructures, which enables us, for the first time, to directly correlate the tunneling density of states with the dissipationless transport properties of magic-angle twisted trilayer graphene superconductivity as a function of doping, temperature, and magnetic field. We reveal two coexisting gaps in the superconducting state, identify the superconducting gap, and demonstrate its unconventional nature.
