Exploring quantumness: pathways to understanding correlated quantum systems

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

The physics of correlated composite quantum systems represents a vast and fascinating field of study that impacts our understanding of the boundary between the quantum and classical realms, as well as the ways we harness physical systems for information processing. In recent years, we have focused on the evolution of multipartite quantum systems to explore various aspects of their correlations, characterization, and intrinsic dynamical limitations. This presentation will provide an overview of some of our contributions to the field, including the design of processes suitable for generating quantum entanglement in various systems, the formulation of criteria to certify quantum correlations, the study of entanglement evolution in open systems of diverse nature, and the characterization of quantum dynamics as a means to delve into the limitations on the speed of evolution.
