Dynamics of Subsystem Complexity in Holography

We describe the implications of the AdS/CFT correspondence for the time evolution of quantum circuit complexity in subsystems of a quantum many-body system, and we compare to expectations from random quantum circuits. Joint work with Andreas Karch, Nick Hunter-Jones, and Shivan Mittal at UT Austin.
