Random Matrices and 2D-Quantum Gravity
ORAL
Abstract
Low dimensional quantum gravity seems to involve ensemble averaging. In certain contexts, it is possible to approximate this averaging via the use of random matrix models. By employing a Monte Carlo simulation for different systems, we can analyze the thermodynamic properties of simple random matrix models. We achieve results through the use of Gaussian Unitary Ensembles, and then focus on the double scaling limit that emerges in connection to quantum gravitational models.
