Bath-Driven Quantum Spin Transistor
ORAL
Abstract
In recent years, substantial advancements in quantum technologies have opened new exciting possibilities of research, one of which is the prospect of usage of open setups for technologies, since they can be less sensitive to noise, while potentially maintaining quantum features. In this work we put forward a conceptualization of an Open Quantum Spin Transistor structure, coupling a 1-D spin chain to main baths, and an additional driving bath, which can be used for driving current through the system, in order to mimic a transistor-like behavior of a current switch. We indicate that scaling the system in size might present a stable setup for quite high current amplification between the on/off state of the transistor.
