Beam Slicing with Ultrathin Dielectric Films

ORAL

Abstract

Van der Waals 2D materials with subnanometer thickness presents interesting optical properties, which can strongly interact with light field and pertubate the wavefront of incident beam. In this work, we study the interaction between transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs) with visible light in both free space and highly confined surface. The light beam is sliced by high dielectric constant material thin film In free space, shows lateral shift and circular polarization dichroism. Thin film interact with highly confined surface plasmon and show different slicing behavior with high vertical resolution.
