2D Silicon Spin Qubits
ORAL
Abstract
Intel is working toward a vision of industry leading quantum practicality and scalability. Tunnel Falls is Intel's first silicon spin qubit chip with yield and uniformity similar to that of advanced CMOS process nodes. These 1D device arrays are fabricated leveraging Intel's cutting-edge industrial transistor fabrication capabilities. In order to build a scalable, full-stack commercial quantum computer the next generation of advanced silicon spin qubit devices must expand to extensible 2D arrays. This presents unique integration and materials improvements challenges that are necessary to begin scaling with improved device performance. This talk will give an overview of progress toward scaling beyond 1D devices and the impact it will have on the silicon spin qubit technology.
