Disordered Weyl semimetals as coupled Hubbard chains.
ORAL
Abstract
We demonstrate that disordered magnetic Weyl semimetal may be mapped onto a two-dimensional array of coupled Hubbard chains, where the Hubbard U is directly related to the strength of the disorder potential. This is a generalization of an analogous mapping of the two-dimensional quantum Hall plateau transition to a one-dimensional Hubbard chain. We discuss some of the implications of this mapping, in particular for the existence of the semimetal to diffusive metal transition with increasing disorder strength, and for magnetotransport phenomena.
