Detecting Time-Reversal Symmetry Breaking in Quantum Matter
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
In this talk I will discuss the use of circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) to probe time-reversal symmetry breaking in quantum matter, including those that host axionic quasiparticles. I will show how the electromagnetic properties of the material are encoded in the dynamics of the photonic states and formulate a measuring protocol that can be used to sensitively measure small nonreciprocal responses in the material. Finally, I will discuss our recent work in quantum geometry governed microwave enhancement of flat band superconductivity.
