Quantum Systems Accelerator, Building the Quantum Future
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
The Quantum Systems Accelerator, a National Quantum Initiative Center consisting a 15 institutions and over 400 researchers, aims catalyze national leadership in quantum information science through co-design of the quantum devices, algorithms, and engineering solutions to deliver meaningful scientific quantum advantage for the Department of Energy in computing and sensing. In this talk I will discuss the significant progress the center has made developing advanced quantum prototypes for atomic, ionic and superconducting platforms with reduced noise and increased coherence, engineering higher fidelity control that is extensible and with increased readout fidelity, while co-designing platform aware algorithms and applications, while exploring early science demonstrations and developing protocols to quantify and benchmark meaningful quantum advantage.
