Entanglement of Gamma Rays from Sodium Decay
ORAL
Abstract
We report on efforts to detect quantum entanglement of Gamma Rays produced through the Beta decay of Sodium-22. After decay, the photons travel in opposite directions towards active scatterers that direct them towards Barium-Fluoride photomultiplier detectors, which allows us to determine the spin of the photons. Observation of opposite spins would suggest that the Gamma rays are entangled in this process. Here we will present preliminary work towards the verification of quantum entanglement in this system and the ongoing effort for further confirmation.
