Quantum Computing Conceptual Survey: results from 3 semesters of pilot data collection
ORAL
Abstract
While a number of research-based assessments have been developed by the PER community for traditional quantum mechanics courses, there is currently no validated assessment focusing on student learning of quantum information science or quantum computing. We present results from 3 semesters of pilot data collection for the Quantum Computing Conceptual Survey, a research-based assessment instrument currently under development by our group. We will specifically discuss implications for instruction and for future curriculum and assessment development in this highly-interdisciplinary area.
