GEM commissioning for DarkLight@ARIEL
ORAL
Abstract
The DarkLight experiment will search for a new boson that couples to leptons, within the 10-20 MeV/c$^{2}$ invariant mass range. The experiment consists of two dipole spectrometers, each equipped with a detector package consisting of a double layer GEM tracking system and a trigger hodoscope array. Each GEM layer is 25 x 40 cm$^{2}$ and has been under commission at Jefferson Lab in Newport News by the Hampton University GEM group. In this talk, I will report on the status of the GEM commissioning tasks and future tasks.
