Status of the COHERENT experiment

Abstract

The COHERENT experiment, situated at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, leverages the SNS pulsed proton beam for its exceptional background rejection and high-intensity neutrino production. The COHERENT Collaboration has achieved the first measurements of Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CEvNS) using three nuclear targets: CsI, Ar, and Ge. Additionally, a NaI detector has commenced data collection. Ongoing efforts include the deployment of new detectors and upgrades to existing ones, aimed at advancing the study of CEvNS, inelastic neutrino-nucleus scattering, and dark matter searches. This talk will provide an overview of COHERENT's current status and future directions.
