99 problems, but is a glitch one? Investigating the impact of glitches that do not overlap gravitational-wave signals
ORAL
Abstract
Transient, non-Gaussian noise, or "glitches," in ground-based gravitational-wave detectors can bias parameter estimation when overlapping signals. This talk investigates whether glitches outside the time-frequency track of signals impose similar biases. If they do not, this would free significant time and resources currently devoted to mitigating such glitches.
