Measurement of γp→ω△⁺cross section using data from the GlueX experiment

We aim to measure the differential cross section for the photoproduction of ω mesons in the reaction γp→ω△⁺ . We use data from the GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab that is taken with a linearly polarized photon beam. We will present the status of the differential cross section measurement as a function of momentum transfer squared t in the region |t|<0.5 for photon beam energies between 8.2 GeV and 8.8 GeV. The measurements of the differential cross section will constrain theoretical models for photoproduction of mesons with a △ recoil.
