Coherent beam-beam effects in the Electron Ion Collider
ORAL
Abstract
The beam-beam effects due to electromagnetic interaction
of two colliding beams play an important role in modern colliders.
These nonlinear effects can cause beam emittance growth,
luminosity degradation, and even beam instability.
In this talk, we will discuss coherent beam-beam effects
in the circular colliders, introduce the computational tool to model
such effects, and present beam-beam and wakefield effects
in the EIC design study.
