Phase Scan Signature Matching in HPSim
ORAL
Abstract
The Phase Scan Signature Matching technique is used to tune the 800-MeV side-coupled cavity linac (CCL) at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE). Previously, a single-particle model was used to optimize the amplitude and phase of the RF-field inside the CCL modules. A new algorithm has been developed that utilizes the full, 6-D beam distribution provided by the High-Performance Simulator (HPSim) code. This talk will discuss the advantages of the HPSim-based routine and show results for archived data.
