The Importance of Mentoring and Fostering Future Mentors

Looking back over my career as a staff scientist at a national lab, I can say I find nothing more rewarding then seeing students that I have mentored becoming the future leaders in our field. I will present my perspective on being a mentor and encouring others to be a mentor. I will also present some of the opportunities that are avaible to students at the national lab such as the Department of Energy's Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program.
