Quantum Simulation of Renormalized Yukawa Theory
ORAL
Abstract
The strong nuclear force between hadrons can be modeled as a massive Yukawa theory, mediated by a scalar pion. We describe a method for estimating the corresponding mass spectrum by block encoding the Yukawa Hamiltonian. To obtain accurate results, renormalization is needed. The renormalization procedure used is called the Renormalization Group Procedure for Effective Particles (RGPEP). We will show results that are renormalized up to second order in the coupling constant, which is sufficient to obtain a renormalized mass of the theory.
