Neil Ashcroft's Scientific Impact

This presentation on the work of Neil Ashcroft and his scientific impact on our field will inaugurate the Neil Ashcroft Early Career Award established in 2022 with a generous endowment from Judith Ashcroft and the Ashcroft family. In keeping with Neil Ashcroft's interest, the award recognizes outstanding theoretical or experimental contributions by an early-career scientist to studies of matter at extreme high pressure conditions, including static and/or dynamic compression within the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Earth and Planetary Science, Soft Matter and Biology.
