Fundamental Symmetries through the lens of a neutron

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

The seemingly innocuous neutron has emerged as a promising and unique tool used in a wide array of precision studies probing many scales, addressing scientific questions from particle physics to cosmology. The next generation of neutron physics experiments will test our understanding of key facets of the fundamental interactions in nature with unprecedented sensitivity. These experiments target ambitious goals, such as discovery of the mechanisms behind how matter in our universe evolved and finding new and exotic physics. I will highlight some of the exciting research ongoing and on the horizon using cold and ultracold neutrons at facilities around the globe.
