Shear Strength of as Additively Manufactured Eutectic Alloy under High Pressure
POSTER
Abstract
Radial X-ray diffraction (R-XRD) experiments have been conducted on laser powder bed fused (L-PBF) AlCoCrFeNi2.1 to investigate its structural response under high-pressure conditions. These measurements provide insights into the material's unique FCC-BCC dual-phase structure and its behavior under non-hydrostatic compression. By analyzing the diffraction data, the hydrostatic component of compression was estimated, contributing to the equation of state for this alloy. Additionally, the shear strength was evaluated across multiple diffraction planes, revealing trends in mechanical stability at extreme pressures.
