Comparison of Post-Ignition Violence and Simulation of the Deflagration-to-Detonation Transition in the RCISME Test. PART 2: Simulation and Modeling
ORAL
Abstract
We present results from modeling the RCISME test --- the Revised Central Ignition of a Spherical Mass of Explosive in a confined geometry. The experiment is designed to be an apparatus for investigating the conditions under which a deflagaration transitions to a detonation. Experimental results are investigated in the context of a deflagaration-to-detonation model as implemented in an Eulerian hydrocode.
