Mentoring pre- and in-service physics teachers: opportunities and challenges

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

In this workshop, participants will learn how to apply the theoretical framework of Productive Habits Development Through Apprenticeship in a Community to examine the issues of mentoring pre- and in-service physics teachers during three stages: before they join a physics teacher preparation program, while they are in the program, and after their graduation. The participants will then apply this framework to their own program and start developing a mentoring plan.
