Terahertz Pulse Generation from a 200 kHz Femtosecond Laser

Abstract

Using a LiNbO3 crystal and the pulse front tilt technique, we designed a setup for THz pulse generation at high repetition rate. A Yb:KGW amplifier produces 1030nm, 280 fs pulses with 20 W average power, from which THz radiation is generated at repetition rates ranging from 50-200 kHz.
