Time-Dependent UV-Induced Dynamics in Acetylacetone
POSTER
Abstract
We will discuss time-resolved results from the UV-excitation dynamics of acetylacetone in this poster presentation. The molecule is excited into the S2 state by a 266 nm UV pump pulse, and the ensuing nuclear dynamics are pictured via coincident Coulomb explosion imaging by using an IR probe pulse in combination with a COld Target Recoil Ion Momentum Spectrometer (COLTRIMS). Additionally, we show results of IR pump-IR probe induced fragmentation dynamics. We have performed a comprehensive analysis of the two-body and three-body fragments using the full 3-dimensional momentum information which demonstrates the possible observation of H2 and CH3 roaming mechanisms.
