Alfred Nobel and His Prizes

This talk will give a brief history of the life of Alfred Nobel and some factors which lead to the inception of the Nobel Prizes. The talk will also describe the process of fielding nominations, evaluating candidates and awarding the Nobel Prize in Physics. It will end with and introduction of the 2022 Nobel Laureates in Physics.
